What is electronic or E challan?
The electronic or E challan system was introduced by Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) under Lahore high court orders. Punjab Safe City Authority has installed Auto vehicle number plate recognizing (AVNPR) cameras across Lahore. These cameras note the number plate of cars violating traffic rules.
How to check E challan?
There are two methods to check E Challan online.
Method 1: Lahore E challan website
Electronic or E challan can be checked on the official website of PSCA
- Go to PSCA Website. echallan.psca.gop.pk
- Fill in your car number plate and your CNIC number.
- Press search
The system will show you if you have any challan.
Method 2: Download PSCA app on mobile phone
You can check your challan PSCA mobile app also.
- Download the PSCA official mobile app. Lahore e challan app
- Enter your number plate and CNIC in the given space.
The app will show you if you have any challan on your CNIC.
How to pay?
There are two ways to pay challan.
- You can print a copy of the challan and pay it at any branch of the Bank of Punjab.
- If you have a bank account. You can Pay your challan through any ATM.
Note: Right now, the facility of paying your e challan online, but in the future, this feature may be available.
What if challan is not Paid?
If challan is not paid within the given time, the authorities can take necessary actions and seize your vehicle. The vehicle may only be released after paying the challan. If you were fined because of your driving licence, we have good news for you. Now you can apply and renew your driving licence online too.
Why is electronic challan better than traditional challan?
In the traditional system, if the driver violates traffic rules, a Challan Ticket is handed over to the violator. During this time, documents of his vehicle are seized by the Officer. The drivers get back its document from the traffic officer only after paying challan in the bank branch. That is why citizens of Lahore widely welcome the new challan.
